The active volcano on the island of Stromboli in southern Italy has been drawing attention with the volcanic activity recorded in recent weeks. White smoke is still observed rising from the powerful eruption that occurred on July 11. Italy’s National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) continues to warn the public and tourists on the island about sudden eruptions.
