Israeli warplanes carried out intense aerial bombardment on the Rimal and Tel al-Hawa neighborhoods in western Gaza City, creating a large smoke cloud in the area as a result of the attacks.
The Israeli army had warned in the morning that leaflets dropped from the air on Gaza City yesterday that the city would become a “dangerous conflict zone” and asked Palestinians in the region to migrate to Deir al-Balah in the central part of the Gaza Strip.
According to the statements in the leaflets thrown, the areas that Israeli forces are asked to evacuate appear to cover the entirety of Gaza City.
Last week, the Israeli army issued notices asking Palestinians living in some neighborhoods in Gaza City to leave the area.
Since the start of Israel’s offensive on the Gaza Strip on October 7, approximately 1.9 million Palestinians in Gaza have been forcibly displaced. Millions of Palestinians have been displaced several times due to the Israeli army’s attacks. Israel has repeatedly displaced Palestinians who previously sought refuge in Khan Younis and Rafah in southern Gaza, and continues to force the region’s population into displacement.
