In the tragic incident that took place in the Destumi village of Bitlis, 22-year-old Fırat Gümüşbağ lost his life in the stream he entered to cool off. The lifeless body of the young man, who was pulled from the water by AFAD, UMKE and Gendarmerie teams that arrived at the scene, was taken to the hospital morgue.
In the incident that occurred around 17:00 near the Tanrıyar Police Station near the village of Destumi, Fırat Gümüşbağ disappeared in the stream. Teams that were dispatched to the area upon notification of the people around made an intensive effort to reach the lifeless body of the young man.
Following the incident, Gümüşbağ’s lifeless body was taken to Bitlis State Hospital morgue for autopsy. Authorities launched a detailed investigation into the incident.
