The fire, which started in the field on the Denizli highway in Muğla’s Menteşe district, quickly spread to the forest area. The incident took place in Menteşe district, Denizli Highway Yaraş location, Soda District. The fire, which started around 11.30 am, was reported to the 112 Emergency Call Centre and many fire brigades and water trucks were dispatched to the area.
The fire started in a harvested grain field and quickly spread to the forest area under the influence of the wind. Thanks to the rapid and effective intervention of the teams, work was started quickly to prevent damage to the forest area. The fire was brought under control and cooling efforts were started.
The Muğla Forestry Regional Directorate teams fought the fire in a coordinated manner and prevented it from spreading. The fire, which was a difficult fight due to the air temperature and wind, was extinguished as a result of the diligent efforts of the teams.
