Mysterious Fall into the Sea on Uskudar Beach
The incident took place at around 22:30 yesterday evening on the Üsküdar Coast, at the pier. According to the prosecution, Gurbet K. (26), who was on the shore, suddenly fell into the sea for an unknown reason. The situation of the young woman, who disappeared for a while after falling into the sea, worried the citizens in the area.
Citizens who noticed the situation immediately called for help. Upon notification, coast guard, marine police and fire department underwater search and rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene. The teams launched a comprehensive search to find Gurbet K.
The search for Gurbet K., who had been missing for about 10 hours, continued in the early hours of the morning. Yunus Emre Çiftçi, an eyewitness at the scene, said: “A young woman jumped into the sea while returning from work in the evening. Searches are still ongoing. She jumped in an instant. We couldn’t catch up. The woman jumped, and then another woman jumped in, but we couldn’t catch up either. Then the teams came,”He spoke as follows.
It was reported that the cause of the incident has not yet been determined and the search efforts are ongoing. Gurbet K.’s family and relatives continue to wait anxiously on the shore.
