In Bodrum, water line explosions have reached alarming levels recently. Following the explosions that occurred in Akyarlar and Yahşi neighborhoods in the last 2 days alone, a similar incident occurred in Ortakent neighborhood yesterday evening. As a result of the explosion in the main water line, a large hole was created on the road and the pavement was split. Tons of water flowed down the drain at the time of the explosion, damaging the environment.
Municipality teams quickly intervened in the area and began repair work. The water accumulated in the pit was drained and the causes of the explosion continue to be investigated. However, due to this latest explosion, there was a 24-hour water outage in the Ortakent, Yahşi, Gürece and İslamhaneleri neighborhoods.
