A fire broke out in a vehicle in Menteşe district of Muğla and spread to the forest area. The incident took place on the Yerkesik-Akbük road in Menteşe district. Citizens who noticed the smoke rising from the vehicle immediately reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
Muğla Metropolitan Municipality fire brigade and gendarmerie were dispatched to the scene. Thanks to the rapid intervention of the teams, the fire was taken under control before it grew. After extinguishing the vehicle fire, firefighters also intervened in the fire in the forest area.
While it is estimated that the fire was caused by the electrical parts of the vehicle, a 20 square meter forest area was partially damaged. The teams started cooling efforts after the fire.
