United Nations Spokesperson Stephane Dujarric made statements about the developments in Gaza at his daily press conference. Dujarric drew attention to the fact that every “evacuation order” by Israel was disrupting people’s lives, and emphasized that the rapid evacuation requests by dropping leaflets before the attack increased the risks. He stated that 150,000 people were forced to flee Khan Younis alone yesterday.

Dujarric recalled that people had to flee without taking any belongings and that there was a lack of infrastructure in the areas they went to.

Speaking about the attack on two vehicles belonging to the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Dujarric said that the perpetrator of the attack had not yet been determined. He noted that his colleagues in the field were unable to conduct a judicial investigation and were trying to continue aid work amid the conflicts.

The UN Spokesperson stressed that they condemn all attacks against humanitarian workers and civilians.
