The British Foreign Office announced that the £21 million support would continue to be paid to UNRWA, according to a statement by Minister David Lammy. Lammy emphasized that humanitarian aid to Gaza was a moral imperative and drew attention to the importance of UNRWA.

“UNRWA is at the heart of humanitarian efforts. “No single agency is big enough to meet the need in Gaza,” Lammy said. He also reassured that UNRWA ensures its impartiality and strengthens its procedures.
