The traffic accident that occurred in Küçükçekmece took place in the morning hours on the D-100 Highway, Lake location, in the direction of Avcılar. According to the violation, the accident occurred as a result of an argument in traffic between the service minibus with the license plate 34 LUN 036 and Ömer Suiçmez, the driver of another service minibus.
In the accident, the driver of the service minibus stopped his vehicle after a disagreement with Suiçmez. However, the service minibus driven by Suiçmez could not stop and crashed into the service minibus. The water tanker and another service minibus that came after were also involved in the accident, and 13 people in the service minibus were injured.
Following the incident, many ambulances and police teams were dispatched to the area upon receiving a report. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulance, while police teams began an investigation at the scene of the accident.
Due to the accident, two lanes were closed in the direction of Avcılar, resulting in long queues of vehicles. However, after a short while, the vehicles involved in the accident were removed with the help of a tow truck and traffic returned to normal.
Ömer Suiçmez, who was involved in the accident, described what happened as follows: “When I was coming from the side of the road, he overtook me and stopped in front of me because I did not give way to the bus in front of me. He got down and while he was coming to beat me, the car hit me from behind. I was pulling a workers’ shuttle. There were 6-7 injured people in the vehicles. They were not in serious condition, but they were all injured.”
