Car and Light Commercial Vehicle Sales Increased
According to the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD) data, car and light commercial vehicle sales in Turkey increased by 3.7 percent in the first half of the year, reaching 577,981 units. During this period, car sales increased by 7.3 percent to 462,955, while light commercial vehicle sales decreased by 8.7 percent to 115,026.
Electric Vehicle Sales on the Rise
According to ODMD data, “fully electric” car sales increased by 223.1 percent to 35,636 units. The share of fully electric cars in total sales increased from 2.6 percent to 7.7 percent, while the share of hybrid cars increased from 10.3 percent to 14 percent. The share of electric and hybrid vehicles in the total market was recorded as 22.5 percent.
Togg Continues Its Leadership
Standing out among electric car brands, Togg maintained its leadership with sales of 13,021 units in the first half of the year. Togg, which outpaced its closest rival by 9,213 units, had a market share of 36.53 percent.

When examined on a model basis, Togg T10X, Tesla Model Y, KG Mobility Torres, BMW 5 Series and BMW X1 were among the most preferred models.
June Electric Vehicle Sales
Tesla ranked first, Togg second and BMW third in sales of 8,032 fully electric cars in June. KG Mobility and Mercedes-Benz also found themselves in the rankings.
