Bekin: Incident in US Senate Should Question US Credibility

Bekin: ABD Senatosunda Yaşanan Olay ABD Güvenirliğini Sorgulatmalıdır

In a press conference held in the Parliament, Bekin stated that the hosting of Netanyahu, who was held responsible for the Gaza massacre by the International Court of Justice, as a “guest of honor” in the US Senate was a black mark on the history of US democracy. Emphasizing that the senators who applauded Netanyahu’s speech on their feet confirmed that they were joint perpetrators of the genocide in Gaza, Bekin said, “This tragic event in the US Senate has once again revealed that the credibility of the US should be questioned.”

Underlining the honorable stance displayed by Rashida Tlaib, a member of the House of Representatives of Palestinian origin, against Netanyahu, Bekin said, “Rashida Tlaib’s display of the word ‘genocide criminal’ during her speech set an example not only for the Zionist Netanyahu, but also for the collaborator senators and representatives in the hall who applauded the genocide. Tlaib’s attitude was a strong ray of hope for the innocent Palestinians in Gaza.”

Bekin supported the movement with Turkish and English posters reading “Rashida Tlaib is not alone” and expressed that they urgently expect the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmuş, to invite the President of the State of Palestine and member of the US House of Representatives, Rashida Tlaib, to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey as a guest of honor and to have her address the members of parliament in the General Assembly hall.
