After the military ceremony held for the heroic Sergeant Barış Gülçiçek, who lost his life in a traffic accident in the Silifke district of Mersin, he was sent off to his hometown of Bitlis. Visiting the injured who were being treated at the Silifke State Hospital, Mersin Governor Ali Hamza Pehlivan and his entourage received information about the details of the accident and conveyed their get well wishes.
Governor Pehlivan attended the military ceremony held at the Silifke District Gendarmerie Command and bid Barış Gülçiçek farewell on his final journey. After the ceremony, Governor Pehlivan met with Gülçiçek’s family, expressed his condolences and presented them with a Turkish flag. Following the emotional ceremony, Sergeant Barış Gülçiçek’s body was sent to his hometown of Bitlis.
