The taxi with license plate number 52 of Istanbul crashed into the barrier as a result of its driver losing control of the steering wheel. In the accident, it was seen that the barrier entered through the windshield of the vehicle and came out through the rear window. While medical and police teams were dispatched to the scene, the taxi driver luckily survived the accident with minor injuries and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Ayten Aydın, who witnessed the accident, described her moments as follows: “I was waiting for the bus at the bus stop. I heard a sound like a bomb. I thought a bomb had exploded. I looked at the taxi. Thank God, The man came out safe. He only had a slight scratch on his eyebrow. He entered the barrier and came out from the other side. God protect me. He was alone, there was no one with him. The ambulance came and took him away.”
