An earthquake table-top drill was organized within the scope of Turkey Disaster Response Plan (TAMP) at AFAD Campus, under the chairmanship of Muğla Deputy Governor İsmail Soykan, with the participation of representatives of public institutions and organizations. Public representatives working at Muğla Provincial AFAD Center participated in the drill.
The exercise aimed to increase coordination between public institutions and evaluate their preparedness levels in order to respond quickly and effectively in the event of a possible earthquake. In the exercise held under the leadership of Muğla Deputy Governor İsmail Soykan, disaster management and emergency response processes were discussed in detail.
In the study, the importance of inter-institutional cooperation and communication was emphasized and the necessity of being prepared for disasters such as earthquakes was reminding again. At the end of the exercise, information was exchanged among the participants and suggestions were made for future studies.
It was stated that such drills will continue and disaster preparedness activities will be carried out continuously.
