The Supreme Military Council Meets Today
The Supreme Military Council (YAŞ) convened today under the presidency of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Before the meeting, the council members visited Anıtkabir and commemorated the martyrs.
President Erdoğan’s Statements:
“In the face of expansionist ambitions that have resurfaced in recent days, we are determined to protect our homeland and national interests by taking all necessary precautions. We will never give an opportunity to those who want to turn our region into a sea of blood, and we will continue to be a source of trust for our friends as well as our own citizens.”
In today’s meeting, the promotion procedures of colonels and the extension of their terms of office, as well as the promotion and appointment files of generals and admirals, will be discussed.
