TIKA Coordinator Fulya Aslan, in her statement to the Anadolu Agency correspondent, stated that within the scope of the “Support for Women Farmers in Rural Areas Project”, they distributed milking machines, milk transport canisters and hygiene material sets to a total of 45 women farmers from the Malisheva, Vyçıtırın and Gjakova municipalities of Kosovo. She also emphasized that they presented milk quality measurement devices to 3 milk collection centers.

Aslan stated that women constitute the main workforce of the agriculture and livestock sector and said, “For this reason, as TIKA, we attach special importance to supporting women farmers in this field. With the materials we distribute today, we aim to increase the quality and efficiency of milk production in the sector. At the same time, ensuring hygiene and therefore food safety are among our priorities.”

Fulya Aslan added that they aim to make valuable contributions to the Kosovo economy in the long term with the projects they carry out. At the ceremony, Kosovar women farmers who received the machines expressed their sincere gratitude to the Turkish people and TIKA.
