According to the statement made by the National Tax and Accounting Research Association, the recommendations for getting out of the economic crisis are as follows:
- In order to prevent the informal economy, the VAT refund system that is entitled to the consumer must be reintroduced.
- Collecting less tax from those who earn less and more from those who earn more should be adopted as a fair taxation policy.
- Special Consumption Tax and VAT on fuel products should be abandoned.
- Corruption must be prevented and the assets of those involved in corruption must be confiscated.
More Suggestions
The statement also made the following suggestions for getting out of the economic crisis:
- It should be ensured that public tenders are transparent.
- The Wealth Fund should be opened to the Court of Accounts audit and transparency should be ensured.
- All public administrations must make savings.
- Infrastructure projects built with the Build-Operate-Transfer model should be expropriated by paying the cost.
- Agricultural products and animal imports should not be made unless necessary, and domestic production should be encouraged.
