The stubble fire, which occurred on the Syrian border of İdil district, was initially taken under control in the evening with the efforts of the villagers and fire brigades. However, due to the influence of the wind, the fire flared up again and affected 7 surrounding villages in a short time.
According to the statement made by Idil Municipality, “The stubble fire, which caused the wind blowing from Syria to spread rapidly, affected 7 villages in Idil district. Upon receiving news of the fire, Idil Municipality Fire Department teams were dispatched to the region to take the fire under control. Likewise, Cizre Municipality and Silopi Municipality also arrived in the region with their vehicles and teams and supported the fire extinguishing efforts.”
