According to a statement from the Presidency’s Directorate of Communications, many issues were discussed during the meeting between Turkey and Mali. It was emphasized that Turkey is determined to advance cooperation with Mali in various areas such as health, energy, agriculture, industry, technology, education and trade.
President Erdoğan stated that Turkey will continue to support Mali in its fight against terrorism and in maintaining peace and stability in its relations with its neighbors.It was also stated that steps were expected to be taken to end FETO’s activities in Mali and to extradite the organization’s members to Turkey.
It was reported that regional and global issues as well as cooperation in the fight against terrorism were also discussed during the meeting.
