Galatasaray’s midfielder Lucas Torreira, who continues his pre-season preparations in the Geinberg region of Austria, shared his championship experiences and thoughts about the opponents.
“Fenerbahce is also a great team”
Stating that his second championship was harder to win than the first, Torreira said, “I think the last one was really hard. Because it came down to the last match. In the match we played against Fenerbahçe, we played as if we had declared “Our championship. Of course, we played with a different ease then. The championship we won this year had a different taste because we won it in the last match.”
“It would be great if Fred was playing on our side”
Praising Fenerbahçe’s player Fred, Torreira said, “It’s really a great chance that he’s playing in Turkey. Unfortunately, he’s playing for our rival team. But it’s still a pleasure for us to play with him and see him play.”

Stating that he wants to be on the field regardless of position, Torreira said, “I always want to be in the first 11. I play 6-8-10, it doesn’t matter. It’s okay for me to play anywhere on the field.”

Stating that the best derbies are in Turkey, Torreira said, “I have dreamed of wearing the Boca jersey since I was little. Apart from that, anything is possible in the world of football.”
“Mauro was always there for me in my bad moments”
Stating that he will continue to support Mauro Icardi, Torreira said, “Many things will be said about Mauro’s private life. But at the end of the day, he will make this decision and manage the issue.”
