Akdağ Nature Park, located in Sandıklı district of Afyonkarahisar, one of Turkey’s largest and most popular national parks, is under inspection against fire danger. Gendarmerie teams continue their inspections 24 hours a day to ensure peace and security in the park.
Afyonkarahisar Provincial Gendarmerie Command shared a special video to announce the activities carried out in Akdağ Nature Park to the public. In the written statement, the importance of the park for its rich natural beauties and endangered species was emphasized.
Akdağ Nature Park attracts attention with its lush forests, water resources, Tokalı Canyon, caves, plateaus, country houses and rich diversity of flora and fauna. Akdağ, Turkey’s 49th national park, is a popular destination where nature lovers can spend time in touch with nature.
- Between June 15, 2024 and October 31, 2024, picnicking with fire, lighting fires, and using samovars and hookahs are prohibited in the park.
- Visitors of Akdağ Nature Park can have a pleasant time by having a picnic in the natural environment without lighting a fire.
Gendarmerie teams constantly carry out inspections to ensure security and order in the park. Commando units, public order teams, motorcycle teams and nature protection teams prevent forest fires and keep the park under control.
It was stated that the inspections will continue uninterruptedly so that citizens can visit Akdağ Nature Park in peace.
