Search Efforts Continue
The search for 22-year-old Cihan Yılmaz, who disappeared at sea in the Taşlık Neighborhood of the Terme district of Samsun, continues unabated. An intensive search operation has been launched for the young man who disappeared among the waves after entering the sea at the breakwater.
Teams Participating in the Studies
Coast Guard Black Sea Regional Command is carrying out aerial scanning with 2 boats and diving teams, 1 coastal patrol vehicle, 1 thermal camera drone and 1 helicopter. In addition, Gendarmerie, AFAD and Terme Search and Rescue (TAKE) teams continue their underwater search efforts. In total, more than 90 personnel contribute to search and rescue activities.
Obtaining Information from Authorities
Terme District Governor Metin Maytalman and Terme Mayor Şenol Kul are at the scene to get information about the search and rescue efforts. Authorities ensure coordination by closely monitoring every stage of the work.
2 People in Danger of Drowning were Rescued
Describing the incident, Kubilay Beyazıt stated that they rescued 2 people who were in danger of drowning while they were taking care of the boats at the breakwater. However, he stated that they could not reach Cihan Yılmaz, who was lost among the harsh waves. Following the call for emergency assistance, teams were dispatched to the scene.

It was also shared that Cihan Yılmaz would get married a week before he disappeared. While this painful incident is a source of great sadness for the family and relatives, search efforts continue rapidly.
