Allegations that a female guard had sexual intercourse with a prisoner at HMP Wandsworth Prison in London, the capital of England, caused great repercussions on social media. Statement from Prison
Following the scandalous incident, prison authorities remained silent, and in a short statement it was stated that “the video featuring the former guard has been reported to the police and the investigation is ongoing.” It was emphasized that they are cooperating with the Ministry of Justice.
Increasing Similar Violations
There has been an increase in the number of cases of inappropriate relationships between prison guards and inmates in prisons in the UK.
