Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Bin Farhan met with Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan during his visit to Turkey. Following the meeting, he made statements at a press conference held at the Dolmabahçe Presidential Office.
Bin Ferhan stated that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received him and conveyed the greetings of the King of Saudi Arabia, King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Emphasizing that relations between the two countries are at a “very high level,” Bin Ferhan stated that the trade volume between Turkey and Saudi Arabia has reached $6.8 billion and that they are making efforts to further strengthen cooperation.
The Saudi Foreign Minister stated that they discussed regional and international issues with Turkey and took joint action on the Gaza issue. He also touched on the Turkish-Saudi Coordination Council meeting to be held this year.
Bin Farhan stated that Turkey and Saudi Arabia cooperate to contribute to stability in the region and will continue their coordination.
In response to a question following the meeting, Bin Ferhan stated that his relations with Minister Fidan were at a very good level and that they had signed the protocol for the activation of the Turkish-Saudi Coordination Council.
