The Şahin Creek Glass Observation Terrace located in the Şahin Creek Canyon in Kaz Mountains was closed to visitors due to cracks in the ground glass due to extreme heat. It was reported that the air temperature in the region reached 42 degrees. Expert teams announced that the glass observation terrace will remain closed until they complete their investigations.
Edremit District Governor Ahmet Odabaş stated in the statement that the glass should be replaced and controls should be carried out in line with the reports of the technical teams. It was stated that if the facility is examined and approved by the expert teams, it will be opened to visitors again in the coming days.
It was emphasized that this measure taken for the safety of the glass observation terrace and the health of visitors is temporary and will be put back into service in a short time.
