Statement on Roblox’s Access Blocking
Online gaming platform Roblox, has been blocked from access in Turkey. Regarding this situation, the Minister of Justice Yilmaz Tunc, made an important statement. Tunç said, “It should not be forgotten that the Republic of Turkey is a State of Law. Our state is obliged to take the necessary measures to ensure the protection of our children according to our Constitution.”
Access Blocked to Roblox
The Adana Public Prosecutor’s Office stated that Roblox’s internet addresses contain content that could lead to child abuse and therefore requested that access to the site be blocked. The Adana 6th Criminal Court of Peace, in accordance with Article 8/A of the Law on Regulation of Publications Made on the Internet and Combating Crimes Committed by Means of Such Publications, decided to block access to Roblox’s internet addresses and to remove the internet content on these addresses.
