Statement from the Qassam Brigades
The Qassam Brigades announced that three tunnel entrances previously booby-trapped by Israeli soldiers in the Tel al-Sultan neighborhood, west of Rafah city, were successfully detonated. This operation was carried out with the aim of neutralizing their military presence in the area.
On the other hand, Qassam Brigades announced in a previous statement that one of the two Merkava tanks belonging to the Israeli army was destroyed by a Yasin-105 missile and the other by an explosive placed on the ground. These attacks are considered a strategic step to limit the mobility of enemy soldiers.
It was also reported that a group of Israeli soldiers in the city of Khan Younis were targeted with mortar fire as a result of a joint operation conducted with the Quds Brigade, the military arm of the Islamic Jihad Movement. Such attacks increase the intensity of the conflict in the region and escalate tensions between the parties.
The Israeli side has not yet given an official response to the statements of the Qassam Brigades. However, the Qassam Brigades also announced to the public today that the city of Tel Aviv and its surroundings were hit by two missiles. This situation shows how critical the ongoing conflicts in the region have reached.
