In the hotel located in the Turban area, 8 kilometers from the Marmaris district center, the room used as the office of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the room where martyr protection police officer Mehmet Çetin stayed are preserved as they were 8 years ago.
The hotel’s owner, tourism professional Serkan Yazıcı, ordered the rooms to be closed and not given to any customers. The marks of the bullets and grenades thrown in the room are still visible.
In the room of Mehmet Çetin, who was martyred in a clash with FETO members, there are 40 bullet holes numbered one by one. In President Erdoğan’s office, there are over 80 bullet holes fired by putschist soldiers.
The windows of two rooms are still broken and bullet holes are visible on the walls and furniture.
