President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made important statements on the occasion of the 101st anniversary of the Lausanne Peace Treaty. Erdogan emphasized Turkey’s struggle from past to present and its future goals.
“Turkey, as a monument of stability in its region, continues its development journey with determination for 101 years. Our nation, enduring difficulties, is moving forward with determination for a bright future in unity and solidarity.”
The following statements were included in Erdoğan’s message:
- “At a time when a new crisis erupts every day and uncertainties about the future increase, our country is focused on the goals of the Turkish Century.”
- “Hopefully, no one will be able to prevent our will to leave our nation’s mark on the century we are in.”
- “As a nation, we are walking towards our bright future in unity and solidarity, without giving up, without stepping back in the face of difficulties and attacks.”
“With these thoughts, on the 101st anniversary of the Lausanne Peace Treaty, I respectfully commemorate the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, his comrades-in-arms, and our precious martyrs who sacrificed their lives for independence, and wish our “veterans days full of health and peace.”
