President Erdoğan’s Eid Speech
President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made important statements in his speech by participating in the holiday celebration program with the party organizations of 81 provinces at the AK Party Headquarters via videoconference on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
Opposition and Domestic Politics
Reminding Israel’s attacks in Gaza in his speech, President Erdoğan said regarding domestic politics: “It is high time for a different tone, a constructive, positive and unifying attitude to prevail on the opposition side, instead of a destructive, provocative language.” He emphasized that the strength of the People’s Alliance means the strength of Turkey.
“PALESTINIAN DAY IS SAD AGAIN”
Highlights of Erdoğan’s statements are as follows: “The Palestinian people, who have been subjected to occupation, oppression and systematic massacre for 76 years, are having another holiday with sadness; they are spending it longing for peace. Israel is committing shameful massacres. Reacting “To the massacre in Gaza is humanity.” It is our duty. The world must put a stop to Israel. We have mobilized our means to establish lasting peace. Those responsible for the genocide must be held accountable.
Islamic World and Foreign Policy
“WE ARE WORKING FOR MORE STATES TO RECOGNIZE PALESTINE”
Stating that intense efforts are being made for the Islamic world to act as a unit, Erdoğan stated that they are working for more states to recognize the State of Palestine. He also emphasized that other dramatic situations will not remain silent.
Erdogan’s speech included statements about Turkey’s determination in domestic and foreign policies, economic goals and social projects.
