In response to Mr. Levin’s concerns, President Biden emphasized his willingness to engage with voters and address any doubts they may have about his ability to serve in the Oval Office or compete against former President Donald J. Trump in November. He encouraged people to approach him, ask questions, and even physically interact with him, stating, “I think I know what I’m doing… no president in three years has done what we have in three years other than Franklin Roosevelt.”
Following the meeting, Mr. Levin released a statement appreciating President Biden’s decades of service but reiterating his belief that it was time for a transition of leadership.
