Şaban Kondi, Director General of Religious Services of the Presidency of Religious Affairs, gave information about the programs to be organized throughout the country within the scope of “July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day”.

- General Theme:“From Coups That Silence Calls to Prayers That Salutes Coups”
- Scope:In 81 provinces and 922 districts
- Number of Target Audiences:More than 2.5 million students and parents
- Aim:To remind the treacherous structure of FETÖ and to raise awareness for July 15
The Presidency of Religious Affairs emphasized that the victory of July 15 was achieved with the help of Allah, the courage and sagacity of the nation, and stated that programs will be organized in mosques, youth centers, family and religious guidance offices, youth offices and summer Quran courses within the circular scope. It was also reported that 118 thousand prayers of the Quran will be recited with the participation of citizens.
Martyrs’ Memorial Program:The Presidency of Religious Affairs will organize programs to commemorate the martyrs. Within the scope of these programs, Quran recitations, prayers and Mawlid-i Sharif will be read.
Kondi stated that religious officials have been trying to convey correct information to the public with the selas, calls to prayer, sermons and prayers they have given on the podiums in order to draw attention to the unity and solidarity of the country since the coup attempt, and announced that the selas will be recited from all mosques at 00.13 on the night of July 15-16.
Corner in Memory of Martyrs and Veterans:It was also stated that a special corner was created in the Presidency of Religious Affairs building in order to keep alive the memory of the religious affairs personnel who were martyred and veterans in the July 15 coup attempt.
