Mustafa Akdoğan, who was pleased with the high yield he obtained from the sample seedlings, expanded his production by planting passiflora on approximately 8 acres of his 12 acres of land due to good demand. Akdoğan, who made a serious profit from the product he planted in the open field, started to harvest crates daily. Passiflora, which he offers for sale at 100 TL per kilogram, is purchased by customers who come to the garden and pick it with their own hands.
Akdoğan said, “We received better fruit than expected. Customers pick it from the garden themselves,” indicating that he is pleased with the yield and demand. Betül Özyaka, one of the customers who is originally from Adana but lives abroad, stated that she loves passiflora, saying, “I love this fruit very much. These are very valuable fruits. Akdoğan stated that they started the cultivation of passiflora by planting a few roots for trial purposes and when the expected yield and sales were achieved, they brought iron poles to the garden and planted passiflora and avocado on an area of 8 acres. Akdoğan said, “It is harvest time right now, we collect almost every day. Our customers come every day and buy. Our sales are good, the market is between 100 and 125 TL, we sell for 100 TL. The product is great, “We got the fruit better than we expected. It is hot this year but the product is still good.”
