According to information obtained from security sources, it was determined that Ö. Fırat, codenamed “Tolhildan”, and his Iranian nationals, codenamed “Raman Renas”, codenamed I. Zendi, and codenamed “Cengaver Mikayil”, codenamed H. Resuli, were in Sulaymaniyah.
The terrorists were neutralized by an air operation carried out by the National Intelligence Organization (MIT).
Operation Results and Evaluation
Security sources stated that as a result of the operations carried out by the Turkish Armed Forces in northern Iraq, PKK/KCK members retreated to Sulaymaniyah, which they consider a safe zone.
It was emphasized that the Sulaymaniyah countryside could no longer be considered a safe zone for the terrorist organization. This situation enabled the terrorists’ mobility to be limited and effectively prevented through the determined operations of the Turkish Armed Forces.
