The “Neşet Ertaş Türkü Garden”, created by businessman Ercan Malkoç on an area of approximately 10 acres at the entrance to Kırşehir, has begun to welcome visitors. Inspired by the museum organized for composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart during his trip to Salzburg, Austria, Malkoç decided to create an open-air museum dedicated to Neşet Ertaş in his hometown.
This special garden, established on a 10-acre area rented from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, hosts the unforgettable works of Neşet Ertaş. The music stops where the folk songs of Neşet Ertaş, known as the “Plectrum of the Steppe”, echo, provide emotional moments for visitors.
Inspired by Neşet Ertaş’s folk song “I Surpassed the Garden Wall”, the garden offers its visitors a walking path, resting areas and special music stops. On the entrance gate, one of the unforgettable words of the folk poem, “Oh mankind, do not burn souls and break hearts” is written as advice.
