Operation Details
An operation was carried out simultaneously against qualified fraud crimes in 14 provinces centered in Erzincan. 8 people were caught during the operation. In the operation carried out by Erzincan Provincial Police Department Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch teams; It was determined that the suspects, who targeted citizens who sold sacrificial animals before Eid-al-Adha, committed 72 cattle and 525 sheep. It was determined that the suspects committed deposit fraud by posting advertisements on their social media accounts and committed qualified fraud against 59 complainants in 51 different incidents.
Operation Results
Within the scope of the operation, a simultaneous operation was carried out with the participation of 120 personnel at 12 different addresses belonging to 8 suspicious persons in the city center of Erzincan. In operation; 26 promissory notes, 2 receivables and receivables ledgers, 96 blank promissory notes, 10 miscellaneous documents, 113 sheep and 34 cattle were seized. Efforts to identify the owners of the animals are continuing.
Detention Status
As a result of the operation; 6 people were caught and detained in Erzincan province, and 2 people were detained in Antalya and Trabzon provinces. While 6 people were arrested, the proceedings against 2 suspects are continuing by the judicial authorities.
