The National Intelligence Organization (MIT) carried out one of the most remarkable exchange operations of recent times in the international arena, exchanging a total of 26 people in prisons in the USA, Germany, Poland, Slovenia, Norway, Russia and Belarus. This operation was carried out with the cooperation of many countries and had a wide impact.

Following the operation, US President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken thanked Turkey for its role in this important humanitarian initiative. The importance of such cooperation in international relations was once again emphasized.

The Most Comprehensive Hostage Exchange in Recent Years

According to information obtained from security sources, the swap operation carried out in Ankara was planned with great care. Within the scope of the operation, a total of 7 planes were used to transfer 10 hostages, 2 of which were children, to Russia, 13 hostages to Germany, and 3 hostages to the US. This process also contributed to the strengthening of diplomatic relations.
