A statement was made by the Ministry of Justice containing the results of the regulations put into effect to protect the right not to be tarnished. Accordingly, it was decided that there was no need for an investigation against 1 million 81 thousand 129 people since 2017.
Minister Tunç stated that the amendments regarding the right not to be tarnished in the Code of Criminal Procedure aim to protect people who face unfair accusations. He stated that 1 million 435 thousand 596 notification files have been opened since August 25, 2017, and 1 million 81 thousand 129 of these files were decided not to be investigated.

The decision that there is no need for investigation ensures the protection of citizens who are victims of unfounded denunciations.
