The Ministry of Trade continues its market surveillance and inspection activities in various sectors by identifying risky products in order to protect the health and safety of consumers. Within the scope of these activities, consumer products such as textiles, shoes, furniture, stationery, child care products, toys and detergents are examined in detail.

As a result of the inspection activities carried out in the first half of 2024, special attention is paid to products for babies and children. Risky products are determined in line with the analysis subject to inspections and necessary measures are taken.

During inspections, in addition to the chemical, physical and mechanical risks of the products, mandatory information that must be included on the labels is also examined in detail. In this way, consumers are enabled to make conscious choices and purchase safe products.
