Ministry of Commerce Increases Training for Exporters

The Ministry of Trade has accelerated its training for exporters in line with the goals of increasing exports. In the first half of this year, physical training was organized in Ankara, Istanbul and Kocaeli provinces, while online training was also held throughout the country. A total of nearly 14 thousand participants participated in the training.

Awareness Raising Continues with Foreign Trade Information Seminars

The Ministry of Trade has been organizing Foreign Trade Information Seminars since 2011. 77,871 people were informed in 755 seminars. While physical seminars were organized in 11 different provinces in 2023, the practice of giving “Participation Certificate” and “Certificate of Achievement” to the participants was initiated.

Ministry of Commerce Export Processes and State Support Training Program

The ministry continued this year’s training under the name “Ministry of Trade Export Processes and State Support Training Program”. The program covered topics such as general export training, state support, e-export applications, and the European green agreement. In addition, country presentations by trade consultants provided participants with information about trade practices in different countries.

Intense Interest in Education

A total of nearly 14 thousand people participated in 6 physical and 28 online trainings held in the first half of 2024. This figure increased almost threefold compared to the same period in 2023. The Ministry of Commerce aims to reach the target of $400 billion in goods exports by developing the trade of young entrepreneurs and small traders.

Support for Youth and Women

The ministry organizes “Foreign Trade Training on Campus” for young people and “Export Academy” programs to support women entrepreneurs. In addition, the “Virtual Trade Academy” provides services for those who want to enter business life.

The “Export Academy” planned to be launched by the Ministry of Trade will add an academic dimension to foreign trade training. This program aims to train qualified human resources in the field of export and employ them in export companies.
