Martyrdom of Haniyeh and Declaration of National Mourning
Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh, the capital of Iran TeheranHe lost his life as a result of an assassination on July 31, 2024. This painful event not only affected the political balances in the region, but also opened deep wounds in the hearts of many people.
President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan , announced that a day of national mourning was declared due to the martyrdom of Haniye. This decision is a measure taken considering social sensitivity in Turkey. Within the scope of the national mourning declaration, Turkish flags were lowered to half-staff throughout the country.
