Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s Statements Regarding Meta
Meta Politics Communications Directorate made statements on the subject upon İbrahim’s questioning. However, no information was given as to whether or not İbrahim was apologized. The statement said, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar IbrahimIt was emphasized that ‘s posts condemning the assassination of Hamas Political Bureau Chairman Ismail Haniyeh and including condolences were removed by mistake. In a statement made by Meta, it was stated that “The Malaysian Prime Minister’s post was removed by mistake due to an operational error; instead, such content should have been designated with a special label as it was considered newsworthy.”
It was also stated that Meta allows content that violates company policies to remain visible with special labels when it is in the public interest. Enver İbrahim announced this situation with his posts on Twitter:

At this meeting, the Media and Strategic Communications Unit of the Malaysian Prime Minister’s Office stated, “During the meeting, the Prime Minister’s Office expressed its deep regret over Meta’s removal of the Prime Minister’s posts expressing condolences for the recent assassination of Ismail Haniyeh.” Finally, Meta restored Anwar Ibrahim’s posts with the “correct news value tag.”
