According to a written statement from the government’s Media Office, it was stated that 89 Palestinians were martyred and 263 injured in the attacks carried out by Israel on the city of Khan Younis in the last 24 hours. The statement also shared that 68 people are still missing. It was stated that the Israeli army demolished 13 houses and bombed 190 houses and buildings in the safe zone during this period. It was emphasized that 130 attacks were carried out in various parts of Khan Younis.
Israeli Army Spokesman Avichay Adraee announced on social media that an “operation will be carried out” in some areas previously declared as safe zones east of Khan Younis city in Gaza and called for the evacuation of the residents of the area. Adraee said that Israel would narrow down the area declared as “safe zone” and launch an attack on a part of it and asked the Palestinians to go to Al-Mawasi “immediately and temporarily”.
On July 13, the Israeli army launched a heavy bombardment on the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip, which it had previously claimed was “safe,” killing 90 Palestinians, half of whom were women and children. Finally, since October 7, 2023, the Israeli army has martyred 39,090 Palestinians and injured 90,147 in its attacks on the Gaza Strip.
