Concerns Over Flood Disaster in Kufra

The severe flooding in Kufra has raised fears among the public that the flood disaster that occurred in Derna last year, which caused more than 4,000 deaths, could happen again. Prime Minister of the Libyan National Unity Government Abdulhamid Dibeybe, announced in a statement on his X account that all resources have been mobilized to help those affected by the storm and floods in Kufra. Dibeybe instructed the relevant ministries and institutions to maximize their preparations, saying, “I wish the people of Kufra well and we will be with them every moment until this crisis is resolved.”
