Kipaş Paper Factory Fire in Söke
The fire that broke out at the Kipaş Paper Factory in Söke on Friday, July 12, grew rapidly and could not be brought under control. The flames, which spread due to the wind, spread to every corner of the factory and spread to an area of approximately 100 thousand square meters. Teams from all over the country are working hard to extinguish the fire.
The fire, which was partially brought under control on the first day, flared up again due to the wind and spread to other parts of the factory. It is stated that the material damage from the increasingly intense fire is great. Other factories in the Organized Industrial Zone are taking precautions to prevent the fire from spreading to their workplaces.
Fire Intervention Work
Firefighting efforts continue day and night in the Söke Organized Industrial Zone. While fire crews continue intensive extinguishing efforts from the air and land, construction equipment is carrying away waste paper that has been removed from the flames.
Aydın Metropolitan Fire Department teams, together with Muğla Forestry Regional Directorate’s extinguishing teams and other support teams, are responding to the fire. Reinforced teams from 23 provinces, 54 construction machines, 80 fire trucks and 290 personnel are fighting the fire.
