Disaster Affairs Department is Established
In the new period, the Department of Disaster Affairs will be established, taking into account Turkey’s earthquake reality. In this way, it will be possible to respond more effectively to earthquakes and other disasters.
Earthquake and Disaster Training Center is Being Established
Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality will establish an Earthquake and Disaster Training Center within the scope of the Earthquake Master Plan. In this center, both individuals and institutions will be able to receive training on how to be prepared for disasters.
Disaster Recovery Center Will Be Established
Disaster Recovery Center will be implemented to prevent services from being disrupted in disasters. This center will ensure effective intervention in emergency situations and support the post-disaster recovery process.
Mayor Büyükkılıç stated that disasters, especially earthquakes, leave deep scars on the social structure and emphasized that efforts will continue to make the city resistant to earthquakes.
