Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Train will be set off for the 6th time this year. The train will be sent off from Ankara High Speed Train Station at 13:10 on Sunday, July 14.
Minister Uraloğlu, emphasizing that the high-speed train set was designed with the theme of ‘Victory of the Nation’, stated that they will remember with longing the 251 martyrs and 2,740 veterans who lost their lives in the events that took place on the night of July 15. The train will travel 56 thousand kilometers for 2 months on the Ankara-Eskişehir-İstanbul and İstanbul-Konya-İstanbul routes and carry approximately 60 thousand passengers.
Minister Uraloğlu stated that the high-speed train will serve with a capacity of 411 passengers and said, “With these trains, which have become a tradition every July 15, we will pass on the struggle and heroism we have given as a nation against the coup attempt from generation to generation.”
Minister Uraloğlu, who said, “I wish God’s mercy upon our 251 martyrs who risked their lives in this war against our national will, freedom and independence,” stated that the train will always keep the country’s consciousness of democracy and national unity alive.
