Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi paid an official visit to Tehran, the capital of Iran, to assess the rising tensions in the Middle East. Iranian President Pezeshkian emphasized that the killing of Haniyeh was an act contrary to international law and stated that the Zionists (Israel) made a big mistake with this act. Pezeshkian stated that Iran expects all Islamic countries to strongly condemn such attacks. Pezeshkian, who said, “This insolence of the Zionists will not go unanswered,” expressed his concerns about the replacement of right and wrong.

Pezeshkian emphasized that the greatest enemies of freedom, democracy and human rights are those who commit terrorist acts around the world and present themselves as defenders of these values. “These people describe others as enemies who do not comply with these values,” he said.

Expressing his hope that diplomatic delegation negotiations will be accelerated in order to deepen relations between Iran and Jordan, Pezeshkian said, “With this process, the two Islamic countries will benefit from each other’s potential and ensure that the people of the region will benefit more from “This friendship and cooperation.”

“This action is part of Netanyahu’s efforts to expand conflict in the region”

Minister Safadi stated that Jordan is trying to develop and deepen its relations with Iran. He also touched on the importance of joint efforts to increase stability, security and peace in the region. Emphasizing that he condemned the assassination of Haniyeh, Safadi said, “Jordan has strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s brutal attacks on Gaza from day one. This action is part of Netanyahu’s efforts to expand conflicts in the region.”
