Israel’s Khan Younis Operation
Israeli Army Spokesman Avichay Adraee announced on social media that an operation would be carried out in areas previously declared “safe” in the east of Khan Younis. Adraee called on the residents of the area to evacuate, stating that Israel would launch an attack by narrowing down the area defined as “safe” and that Palestinians should go to Al-Mawasi “immediately and temporarily.”
Evacuation of Gazans
Thousands of Palestinians were forced to leave the region due to the operation that Israel will carry out in Khan Younis. Thousands of Gazans, mostly women and children, took to the roads with the few belongings they could carry. People who tried to leave the region on foot because they could not find a vehicle are trying to reach safe areas.
Israel’s Attacks
In Israel’s heavy bombardment of the al-Mawasi area in Khan Younis on July 13, a total of 90 people, including 90 Palestinian women and children, lost their lives. In its attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7, at least 39,175 Palestinians have been martyred and 90,403 people have been injured. These casualties include 16,172 children and 10,798 women.
